I am an Assistant Professor of Numerical Analysis (RTD-B) in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bologna. My institutional webpage on the UniBO website can be found at this link.
I am also a member of (AM)^2 (Alma Mater Research Center on Applied Mathematics) and ARCES (Advanced Research Center on Electronic Systems 'Ercole De Castro').
My main research interest is the numerical analysis of partial differential equations in materials science and engineering, in particular in liquid crystal theory, micromagnetism, nonlinear elasticity and spintronics. I am also interested in fundamental questions in the analysis of finite element methods and in (goal-oriented) adaptivity for stochastic Galerkin finite element methods in uncertainty quantification and for model order reduction methods.
