I am an Assistant Professor of Numerical Analysis (RTD-B) in the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bologna. My institutional webpage on the UniBO website can be found at this link.
I am also a member of (AM)^2 (Alma Mater Research Center on Applied Mathematics) and ARCES (Advanced Research Center on Electronic Systems 'Ercole De Castro').
My main research interest is the numerical analysis of partial differential equations. In particular, I am interested in fundamental questions in the analysis of finite element methods, in the design and analysis of structure-preserving schemes for (nonlinear) PDEs in materials science and engineering (e.g., in liquid crystal theory, micromagnetism, nonlinear elasticity, and spintronics), and in the development of numerical methods for uncertainty quantification and model order reduction.
